The Community Development Administration works with land and planning, environment and construction, business, culture, youth, and leisure. We have about 45 employees. The administration has a broad operation that affects everyone who in some way operates in or visits Rättvik Municipality. Our collective mission is to make it attractive for current and potential residents, businesses, and visitors to live, work, and invest in our municipality.

The Environmental and Building Unit handles cases within the construction, environment, and food sectors with operational responsibility for regulatory enforcement according to, among other things, the Environmental Code and the Food Act. The unit's supervision areas include environmental protection, health protection, nature conservation, food, sewage, and contaminated areas.

The Environmental and Building Unit is now seeking an Environmental Inspector/Environmental Officer, a team member who will strengthen our organization in a changing environment.

Job Description

Your work will consist of daily contributions to good citizen service by solution-focused assistance to the unit in supervision and processing of cases according to the Environmental Code and its related legislation. Our goal is to create the most attractive living environments with high quality of life, safety, and services for our residents and visitors.

The mission is to be the community's experts regarding the Environmental Code in a very communicative way. We want you to share our ambition to realize the dreams of our municipal residents and businesses.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with relevant academic education in the unit's field. In the position, you need to have a driver's license and be proficient in the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Previous experience from both private and public sectors is desirable. The work includes daily contacts with businesses and individuals, so it is important that you enjoy working with people and are passionate about clear and professional communication. As a person, you are flexible and work well with others, you are used to taking responsibility for your work and commitments. All processing is done in digital operational systems, and therefore we also value digital competence very highly. We place great importance on personal suitability.

You will have the entire vast municipality as your workplace, requiring a B driver's license.
